Hello my name is David Melendez and I am the owner and
director of Starlite Dance Studio. I would like to take this
opportunity to welcome you to the Starlite Dance Studio web site.
If you ever contemplated on having your child be part of a dance school or you as an adult wanted to learn how to dance,
then you just found one of the most sough after schools
in the Bronx. We specialize in teaching children starting from age 5 how to dance mambo. We even take them as young
as 3 years old for ballet and tap classes and of course
we make all our boys feel extra special. We are celebrating
our 10th season of serving the Bronx community and when
I started I never dreamed of the amount of children and
adults that would pass through my doors. I am very
proud of the progress we've made and I would love
to share this pride with you as you look through the
different events that we participate in and could have
your child be part of.

"Anyone who has seen Carmen Robles
on the Latin dance floor has had the privilege of seeing TRUE mambo/salsa. She is the REAL DEAL!!! A lot of us had to go to classes to learn how to do this beautiful dance but not Carmen. Her dancing truly comes from the heart and soul. She has the SABOR (flavor) that the rest of us can only strive to achieve. It is a joy to watch her dance!!

Santo Rico Dancers
www.santorico.com
One of the leading dance companies in New York & world wide. Great people. I have been watching them teach and perform. They are amazing.
The history of Santo Rico dates back to 1995. The name of the dance company is derived from the initial members of the group being half from Santo Domingo (Santo) and half from Puerto Rico (Rico), hence the name "Santo Rico." Santo Rico was initially formed by Wilton Beltre, a 32 year old Dominican native, who expressed his love for dancing by displaying his street style of dancing Mambo/Salsa in local nightclubs in New York City. Prior to forming Santo Rico, Wilton received dancing instruction from the well renowned Eddie Torres. This gave him professionalism and grace and ultimately led to the development of a unique style. During his stint with Mr. Torres Wilton excelled and brought his dancing ability to such a high level that he became one of the most outstanding members of The Eddie Torres Dance Company.
